He published the Almanac from 1824 untilhis death in 1869. After Belcher's death, the firm of McAlpine and Barnes continued the publication under the founder's name until 1930. Includes list of Light Houses on the Coast of Nova Scotia; The Coast of New Brunswick and the United States in the Bay of Fundy; and at Cape Race in Newfoundland (pp 171-180), and of ships and staff of The Navy (pp 199-200), and 116 pages of advertisements.
