Hugh Lightbody (born September 18, 1889, in Truro, Nova Scotia - died November 28, 1971. Truro, Nova Scotia).

"Now for a while, like my brother, I drove my tinkerville car through the columns of a daily newspaper, namely the Evening News, New Glasgow; and Mr. Sutherland, the Editor and I hit it off great, although like most of our excellent editors of Nova Scotia, he carries around a heavier jag of party politics than I do. Waal lately I decided to stop driving through the newspaper columns and get a little paper highway of my own upon which I hope not only to drive out to the different parts of Nova Scotia cheering up and instructing the people with a mixture of fun and good common horse sense, but also to see a lot of Bluenoses up in Uncle Sam's land and tell them about the things I have seen reflected on my highlights as I drove around Nova Scotia in general and Pictou County in particular. [...] Waal I saw somethin reflected in my high headlights t'other evening on the Antigonish road that made me grab fountain pen so savage and hard to write it that I was afraid I would smash the barrell of it." - pp.3-4.

Some light wear and a few stains, else very good. Very scarce. NOTE: Shipping will less for this small item. 300.00
