(12),1-723,(1),(12) of index. Folio, full leather, raised bands with gilt lettered maroon leather titleblock to spine, all edges stained red. Robert Burton (8 February 1577 25 January 1640). With the half-title and the engraved title. Colophon reads: "Printed by R.W. for Henry Cripps of Oxford, and are to be sold by Andrew Crook in Pauls Church-yard, and by Henry Cripps and Lodowick Lloyd in Popes-head Ally. 1651." From the library of Lord Mostyn, probably Sir Thomas Mostyn (1704-1758), 4th Baronet, (with his Gloddaeth Hall , Wales, library bookplate). Bookplate of Montreal collector Alberti G. Nicholls. Two small holes where a clasp had once been attached to the front board, a couple small marginal stains, sparse foxing, else very good.
