Vol. I - Tape-repaired tears to Index, margin of pp.461-462 torn out (with no loss of text). Vol. I Plates [volume in a protective box] – half-title, title, List of Plates, and 58 Plates loose at front, half-title and title page in poor condition with some loss of text. Vol. II – rear inner hinge cracked. Vol. III – solid. Vol. IV – gutters repaired with white cloth tape, tear to one of the title pages, damp-wrinkling to last section of plates.
