(Handwritten notes on Anatomy - Dutch - 18th Century). Handwritten notes inDutch on Anatomy / Medicine 1771. Handwritten in Latin on first page (fron t free endpaper) – Hunc Librum Secundum [initials] Roggen scribere incepit Decimo quinto die Julii. ANNO 1771. Altera de Dislocationibus primo libroseripta est in quoetiam de Anatomiae agitur. The text portion is handwritten in Dutch in question and answer format. The first section is “Van de fracturem” with numerous questions and answers on fractures. Other sections deal with other topics – ulcers, cancer, abscesses, etc. At the end are six pages in French. Pp (280 pp of text),(40 blank pp),(18 pp text),(18 blank pp),(7 pp text). 8vo, bound in full vellum with cloth fore-edge ties. From the library of W.J.F. Nuyens (with his bookplate). Dr. Willem Jan Frans Nuyems (1823-1894) was a rural doctor from West Friesland and an early Catholic historian. Spine chipped and cracked, boards splayed, soiled and cracked, cloth ties broken and some missing, some writing and spotting to endpapers, bookplate, else very good. A unique item. 250.00
