The lengthy memoirs of the English seaman -- a part of the Royal Navy for thirty-two years, starting at the age of 13 -- who served aboardthe HMS Orion during the Second World War, and was loaned to the Australia n navy in the post-war years, before retiring from the service in 1956. Lampen died in February 2010, aged 98. Very good. Presentation copy signed by Lampen on the half-title leaf. Uncommon. 180.00
