Large oblong folo, (19 inches by 12 1/2 inches) card covers designed as a label-bedecked travelling trunk. Not in Gill. Harry August Jansen (b. October 3, 1883, Copenhagen, Denmark - d. June 15, 1955, Northridge, California) who began his career as "The Great Jansen," before being given the stage name Dante. This is avery large promotional publication, edited and compiled by Edna J. Jansen, full of material designed to impress booking agents around the world. Test imonials, "special stories," a lengthy two-page spread by Reginald Drake, excerpts from Dante's radio talks, a program sample, press opinions, "A $10,000 Challenge to Managers, Agents, Impresarios and Artists", &c. Illustrated throughout with reproductions of posters, and many, many photos from tours and performances (including Miss Moi-Yo Miller and Miss Mary Dante), withaccomapnying text banners : e.g "Dante and Crowds are Synonymous",."Notice the large percentage of women and children. The Dante show is clean. They bring wives, mothers, sisters and daughters. 2 1/2 hours withot a blush"; "Dante Arrives.
