Pp [1]-34,(2), portrait frontis. 8vo, brown card covers, attached with twine at spine. The Rev. Richard Smith was born November 5th, 1819, in Maitland, Nova Scotia, and died January 19th, 1911. In his prolonged career as a clergyman he served under three forms or dispensations, of Methodism, being a “Wesleyan Missionary in the Nova Scotia District” from 1842 to 1855; a Member of the Wesleyan Conference of Eastern British America from 1855 to 1874; and from 1874 to 1911 identified with the Methodist Church of Canada. “John Cumberland”is the pseudonym of Rev. John B. Smith, New York East Conference, son of Richard Smith. Edges nicked, offsetting to first and last page, penned name, else good. 100.00
