Beginning in May, 1906 and for the following five years, a diver named William Walker worked below Winchester Cathedral, restoring the foundation which had been damaged by years of flooding. It is estimated that he used 28,000 bags of concrete and 114,900 concrete blocks -- all this while wearing his two hundred pound diving suit. On March 21, 1964, a statue was unveiled in his memory at the Cathedral. Vg. 15.00 Price:
