(Newspaper). "Interesting Female". An article in The London Chronicle, Vol.CV, No.7878, Thursday, June 15 - Friday, June 16, 1809. Folio, two sheets folded (8 pp.). Human interest story of Amelia Finsterbrush, a beautiful girl of 16, who had been trepanned and carried off from England to Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island under false pretences. "The following interesting case occured at Charlotte Town, Prince Edward's Island, during the sessions in April last:- .. Cascampesque, where this interesting girl was landed from Newfoundland is the property of Mr Wathen's employer, at the extreme end of Prince Edward's Island, and very thinly inhabited; but even here British law and British justice, under the administration of a good and humane judge found this injured female, and redressed her wrongs."
