An exte nsive genealogical volume on the Dixon family who emigrated to Sackville, New Brunswick via Nova Scotia from Yorkshire in 1772. This volume includes chapters on the genealogical background of the families of each of Charles'ssons and daughters: Mary (married William Chapman), Charles 2nd (married R hoda Emmerson), Susanna (married George Bulmer), Elisabeth (married Dr. Rufus Smith), Ruth (married Thomas Roach), Martha (married Rev. Benjamin Wilson), Edward (married Mary Smith), and William Coates (married Matilda Beckwith). By the time of publication, Charles and his wife Susannah Coates, had over 2800 descendants through seven generations. Damp soiling to bottom right corner (not affecting text) which has caused that portion of the front board to splay, corrections inked over, as per errata page, else vg.
