The author's personal account of his voyage, with his family aboard their small ketch, the Phoenix, to the atomic testing zone in the South Pacific in 1958. His protests about the dangers of radiation and the allowing of further testing to continue resulted in his arrest. However his voice was heard around the world, as he drew theattention of thousands of people to the issues about which he felt so stro ngly.
