MARKHAM, Edwin. Lincoln, The Man of the People. N.pl.: n.pub., 1922. Folio broadside (13.5 by 8.5 inches), printed one side only. This poem was chosenout of 250 by the committee headed by Chief Justice Taft at the dedication of the great Lincoln Memorial erected by the government in Washington, D.C ., in 1922. There were 100,000 listeners on the ground and 2 million over the Radio. President Harding delivered the address and the author read the poem. Horizontal creases, tear and small piece of tape to top edge, small surface tear affecting text (but not the poem), else good. Signed and dated 1932 by the author. 25.00
