Mr. Finnie attempts to capture the lives of the people in the north,the fur traders, missionaries, and Eskimos during the early modern [circa 1930's] contact between the native peoples and the white man. The author does this by presenting a series of true sketches that capture the everyday lives of northern inhabitants of the High Arctic from Herschel Island to King William Island. Spine rubbed and faded, cornersa bumped, bookplate and sticker, else vg. 30.00
