Pp 308. 8vo, grey cloth. A somewhat over-determined narrative paralleling the careers of Maury and Henry, using the virtues of one to demonstrate the vanities of the other. The author is a firm partisan for the cause of the Union: for her even Maury's early accomplishments are sullied by his misalliance.
