A volumnous text providing for students and their families a general history of mankind, with questions included at the end of each section. Written by Nathaniel Hawthorne and his sister, Elizabeth. The spine is heavily worn, with a large chip and a tear to the head, small tear at the front where the leather meets the cloth, corners and all edges well worn, front hinge broken, rear hinge starting, cloth rubbed, a general light foxing throughout, previous owner's name to the ffep.
