Oblong small 8vo,red cloth spine (faux alligator skin), illustrated olive green paper cover ed boards, all edges dyed red. Annie L. Prat was an artist (wtaercolours) from Windsor, Nva Scotia. Sir Charles George Douglas Roberts (1860-1943) wasa Canadian poet and prose writer. Besides his own body of work, Roberts is known as the "Father of Canadian Poetry" because he served as an inspirati on for other writers of his time. Roberts, his cousin Bliss Carman, Archibald Lampman and Duncan Campbell Scott were known as the "Confederation poets". Edges worn, else very good. With a gift inscription - Annie L. Prat, from C.G.D.R.[Charles G.D. Roberts], spoils of the winter campaign, 1891, Kingscroft [Windsor, N.S.], Apr 17, 1891. 125.00
