Please search or browse our inventory of hard-to-find, out-of-print, used, and rare books. At present there are over 60,000 titles listed, with many now having accompanying portraits.

December 2022: WITH A FEW EXCEPTIONS WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT BRINGING ANY MORE BOOKS INTO THE STORE UNTIL THE PANDEMIC SETTLES. PLEASE DO NOT BRING IN BOOKS FOR CREDIT AT THIS TIME.

The exception is donations of useful books (several of which we have gratefully received in the last while) which have helped the cause.

We have been open all along and are keeping to distance and hygiene guidelines.  For payment, cash or debit are preferred.
