A history of Sea Island, 18 miles off the Yarmouth County coast, known for its treacherous coast, with many ships and sailors wrecked along the rocky island's coast, as well as for its sheep, placed on the island in the 1800s to graze (and, to potentially serve as "food for ship wrecked mariners who became marooned and would stave to death otherwise".) - from the rear cover.
