She studied under John Hammond at Mount Allison University in Sackville, N.B., and under the great Robert Henri in New York. Her work is in several collections, including Canada's National Gallery and the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. Frank Parker Day was Mount Allison's first Rhodes Scholar, Colonel of the Cape Breton Highlanders and later of the 25th Battalion in World War I. He became a college president in the United States and a well known writer. His 1928 novel, Rockbound, gained new life in 2005 when writer Donna Morrissey took it to the top of CBC's annual Canada Reads debate.” - from the back cover. Very good.
