Helen Mary Jennex, née Mitchell (b. September 22, 1912, Oyster Pond, Halifax County, Nova Scotia - d. 1986, Musquodoboit Harbour, N.S) whom Charles Keating once called "One of the truly great women of the Eastern Shore", was along-time teacher, principal and local historian.
Helen Jennex worked to establish "Fisherman's House Museum" in Jeddore, NS, of which she was the Curator. Her "reminiscences" are presented in the form of short stories, poetry, recipes and the recollections of many of the people from that area.
A collection of anecdotes, historical reminiscences, poetry, home remedies, recipes, etc. from the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia.
Includes a 10-page section on The Seamen of the Eastern Shore.
