David William McFadden (b. October 11, 1940, Hamilton, Ontario – d. June 6, 2018, Toronto).

His ninth collection of poetry.

"David McFadden has spent a third of a century living at the western tip of Lake Ontario, and since childhood he has been producing an unrelieved outpouring of poems and stories. Artistically a lone wolf, McFadden would rather go bowling or ride his bicycle along the smoggy streets of Hamilton than get involved with literary stuff. But his mysteriously unclassifiable writings are beginning to reveal McFadden as an important figure in Canadian and world literature. One of the critics who has tried to tackle McFadden's work is Frank Davey who calls him, 'an eccentric and original voice of our time'.".

A few of the poems in this collection have Nova Scotia subjects.
