Profusely Illustrated with Plates including a lithographed frontispiece portrait of Dibdin, 44 engraved or lithograved plates including frontispieces to Volumes Two and Three, 93 wood or steel engravings, and 16 engraved ornamental capital letters. Sm 4to, modern full brown calf, five raised bands, spine stamped in gilt, top edges gilt, others uncut. First Edition, one of 100 Large Paper Copies, issued in three volumes. Bound into this special copy are three Autographed Letters Signed from Dibdin :the first a one-page letter to a Mr. Reid asking him to dinner and comment ing that he will "dine at 13 minutes after 6 - most punctually..."; the second a one-page letter with address label written on the back to a Mr. Youngrequesting payment for a bill; and the third is dated Oct. 20, 1830 concer ning Mr. Young. With extra title-page for Volume Three present as required.Occasional foxing and browning, else a very nice copy of the Large Paper E dition, with three ALS, in a near fine condition modern full leather binding. the set for 6,000.00
