Robert Kirk Dickson D SO, RN, (b February 18, 1898 - d. September 17, 1952), commanded HMS Manxman (M 70) a minelayer from October 15 1940 to December 25, 1942. Later he was Chief of Naval Information. A series of nine brief popular addresses relating the exploits of the Royal Navy and, despite their late date of broadcast, seeking to stimulate wartime patriotic feeling. 1.
