First published as "TheFarmer's almanack, for the year of our Lord 1824", the title was changed t o "Belcher's Farmer's Almanack" in 1832. The founder of the Almanac was Clement Horton Belcher. He published the Almanac from 1824 until his death in 1869. After Belcher's death, the firm of McAlpine and Barnes continued the publication under the founder's name until 1930. Includes list of Light Houses on the Coasts of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick (pp 206-234), and of ships and staff of The Navy (pp 46-47), and approximately 30 pages of advertisements. Cloth rubbed, date penned to spine, inner hinges cracked, many notes to interleaved blanks, top corner of first 50 pages clipped, else a good copy. 60.00
